It is celebrated on full moon day during the month of Chaitra Shukla which is fall around the months April or May. Lord Hanuman is a great devotee of Lord Rama. Lord Hanuman is a symbol of energy and strength. Hanuman Jayanti celebrates all around the nation. On this day devotees visit to temples worship to Lord Hanuman, they apply tilak of Hanuman sindur to their foreheads from the Lord Hanuman's statue as a good luck. According to the Hindu Mythology if somebody seeks for Moksha all to do is pray Lord Hanuman with Love and loyalty. Hanuman Jayanti celbrates with fun and feasting. Ladoos and fruits offered to Hanuman ji and foods, fruits and sweets distributed among the people as Prashad. Satsang and song programs done by people for Lord Hanuman. 

According to Hindu mythology mata Sita was applying sindur to her head, Hanuman Ji questioned why and she replied that this would ensure a long life for her husband. Hanuman then smeared his entire body with sindur, in an effort to ensure Rama’s immortality.
