Fog disrupts air operations at IGI airport 17 February
New Delhi: The mercury dipped below normal in the national capital this
morning, while a thick layer of fog disrupted flight operations in the
early hours.
Dense fog enveloped the IGI airport in
the early hours, delaying over 20 flights and leading to diversion of
10 others. Fog started to descend on the airport after midnight and
become dense at around 4 AM, forcing the authorities to implement the
low visibility procedures on both the runways.
The weatherman has forecast a mainly clear sky tomorrow while the
temperatures are expected to be between 8 and 23 degree Celsius.
