Karnataka: Former Indian crickter Anil Kumble the chairperson of Karnataka State Wildlife Board, is playing a major role to end the wildlife wildlife meat trade which is along the Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh border.
State's like Chikkaballapura and Kollar districts are very notorious for the trading of meat of the wild animals like blackbuck, wildcats, monitor lizards, and birds.
Forest Intellegence have been trying to identify these rackets who are involved in this meat trading. According to the intellegence, they have the reports saying that the Karnataka and Andhra were offering the meat to Guests.
Deputy conservator of forest K.B. Manjunath said that their team traced the gang by posing as customers. Later they placed an order for delivery. They caught the ringleaders red handed when they were waiting for us with the meat of blackbuck.
There are more eight gangs caught from the various part of Karnataka.
